Company og Heroes 2 ist ein Echtzeit-Strategiespiel im Szenario des 2. Weltkriegs. Der Nachfolger von Company of Heroes legt dieses Mal den Fokus auf die Ostfront im Deutsch-Sowjettischen Krieg.
Im Grundspiel sind folgende Fraktionen, die Sowjetunion und die Wehrmacht enthalten. Durch das Add-on „The Western Front Armies“ sind das Oberkommando West und die US Force noch als spielbare Fraktion hinzugekommen. Die letzte Fraktion, die Britischen Streitkräfte würde durch das Add-on „The British Forces“ hinzugefügt. Alle Fraktionen unterscheiden sich in ihrer Ausrichtung und Spielweise deutlich voneinander. Weitere Taktische Ausrichtungen sind durch die Kommandanten und Aufklärungsberichte möglich.
